DePaul Hosts St. John's in Tuesday Night Showdown in Rosemont

CHICAGO - DePaul returns to Rosemont to host St. John's in a BIG EAST Conference game on Tuesday night. Start time in Rosemont is 6 p.m. The Blue Demons are looking to put together back-to-back conference wins following last Thursday's double-overtime victory at Butler.
Tuesday's game will be televised on FOX Sports 1 with Eric Collins (play-by-play) and Greg Kelser (analyst) handling the television duties. DePaul enters the game at 9-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play after the 99-94 win at Butler on Jan. 9. DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell is in his fourth season at DePaul and his 26th as a head coach at the collegiate level. St. John's is 9-6 overall and 0-3 in the BIG EAST and is led by Steve Lavin who is in his fourth season leading the Red Storm.
Following the St. John's game, DePaul travels to sixth-ranked Villanova for a Saturday afternoon contest against the Wildcats. The game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. ET start on FOX Sports Networks and WSCR 670 The Score. Locally in the Chicago, the game will be televised on WPWR.
DePaul-St. John's Share Common Mission: DePaul and St. John's are two of four universities in the world founded by the Vincentians. DePaul, St. John's and Niagara were founded in the 19th century in the United States and Adamson University, located in Manila, Philippines, was acquired by the Vincentians in 1964.

The 99-94 double-overtime win at Butler on Jan. 9 was just the 17th game in program history of two or more overtime periods. DePaul's last multi-OT game was a 90-82 loss in triple overtime against St. John's on March 5, 2010 and the last multi-OT win was a 76-69 double-overtime decision against Dayton in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on March 18, 2004.
