DePaul is 10-14 overall and 5-7 in the BIG EAST Conference after losing to then #23 Louisville, 88-68, on Tuesday at the Allstate Arena. Connecticut is 20-5 and 9-3 after beating USF, 74-73, in overtime on Saturday at the Sun Dome.
The teams have split the two meetings. DePaul won, 66-58, on January 31, 2007 at the Allstate Arena in the last meeting between the two. The Huskies won the first meeting, 72-55, on March 20, 2004 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Buffalo, N.Y. Current streak: DePaul 1.
The Last Meeting
Draelon Burns tossed in a season-high 26 points and Wilson Chandler added 14 points and nine rebounds as DePaul beat Connecticut, 66-58, on January 31, 2007 at the Allstate Arena. Jerome Dyson led the Huskies with 16 points while Jeff Adrien added 10.
Jerry Wainwright is in his 14th season as a collegiate head coach and his third at DePaul. He is 228-187 overall and 42-43 with the Blue Demons. Wainwright is 1-1 against the Huskies. Jim Calhoun is in his 36th season as a head coach including the last 22 at Connecticut. He is 770-333 overall and 522-196 with the Huskies. Calhoun is 1-1 against the Blue Demons.
