PHILADELPHIA - DePaul wraps up a four-game stretch that features three road games with a Wednesday night matchup at No. 3/3 Villanova. The Blue Demons opened the four-game run with an impressive 17-point win at Providence on Feb. 10 that saw DePaul lead by as many as 31 points in the second half. DePaul has dropped the last two games by a combined six points with a 77-76 loss at home against St. John's on Feb. 14 followed by an 82-77 defeat at Seton Hall on Sunday. Start time at Wells Fargo Center is 8:30 p.m. ET.

Wednesday's game will be televised on FS1 with Brian Custer (play-by-play) and Sarah Kustok (analyst) handling the television duties. Villanova - ranked No. 3 in both of this week's national polls - is 24-3 overall this season and 11-3 in BIG EAST action following a 95-79 win at No. 4/4 Xavier on Saturday. The Blue Demons stand at 10-16 overall and 3-11 in league play after the five-point loss at Seton Hall. DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is in his sixth season at DePaul and his third since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2017-18 campaign is Leitao's 12th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Villanova is led by Jay Wright who is in his 17th season leading the Wildcats.

Noting the Blue Demons: The men's basketball program is 1,447-1,003 (.591) all-time... the Blue Demons have knocked down at least one three-pointer in 765 straight games... Blue Demons Drop BIG EAST Opener to Villanova
DePaul put five players in double figures, but No. 1/1 Villanova proved worthy of its ranking in a win over the Blue Demons on Wednesday night.

The Series: Wednesday is the 34th all-time meeting between the two programs... Villanova holds a 25-8 advantage in the series... the Wildcats have won the last 15 meetings including a 103-85 decision on Dec. 27 at Wintrust Arena... Villanova swept the season series a year ago... the Wildcats held off DePaul, 68-65, in the first meeting at The Pavilion on Dec. 26, 2016... Villanova also claimed a 75-62 decision at Allstate Arena on Feb. 13, 2017...  DePaul's last win in the series was an 84-76 victory on Jan. 3, 2008 at Allstate Arena.
