The Records

DePaul is 16-12 overall and 7-7 in the BIG EAST Conference after losing to #23 Notre Dame, 78-54, on Tuesday in South Bend, Ind. Cincinnati is 10-17 and 1-12 after losing to #12 Georgetown, 75-65, on Wednesday in Cincinnati, Ohio.

 

The Series

Cincinnati leads the series 29-12. The Bearcats won the last meeting, 82-60, on January 4, 2006 in Cincinnati. DePaul won the last meeting in Rosemont, 85-66, on February 12, 2005.  Current streak: Cincinnati - 1.

 

The Last Meeting

Cincinnati had four players in double figures, two of whom had double-doubles, as the Bearcats beat DePaul, 82-60, on January 4, 2006 at Fifth-Third Arena in Cincinnati. Eric Hicks and Jihad Mohammed led the Bearcats with 20 points each. DePaul was led by Sammy Mejia’s 20 points.

 

The Coaches

Jerry Wainwright is in his second season at DePaul and his 13th as a head coach. He is 214-171 overall and 28-27 with the Blue Demons. Wainwright is 0-5 against the Bearcats. Mick Cronin is in his fourth season as a head coach and his first at Cincinnati. He is 79-41 overall and 10-17 with the Bearcats. Cronin has never faced the Blue Demons as a head coach.
