CHICAGO - DePaul returns to Allstate Arena for a Saturday night game in Rosemont. The Blue Demons host the Connecticut Huskies at 7 p.m. as DePaul looks to put back-to-back home BIG EAST wins together. DePaul’s last game at Allstate Arena saw the Blue Demons post a 75-69 win over Rutgers. Saturday’s game is the first of two straight at home with No. 10 Louisville visiting Allstate Arena on Wednesday night.

Saturday’s game will be televised on Me-Too (WCIU-DT4) in Chicago as part of the BIG EAST Network with Lou Canellis (play-by-play) and Sean Kearney (analyst) handling the television duties. The broadcast is also available online at ESPN3. DePaul stands at 11-15 overall and 2-11 in the BIG EAST while Connecticut holds an 18-7 overall record and 8-5 mark in league play. DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell is in his third season at DePaul and his 25th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Connecticut’s Kevin Ollie is in his first season leading the Huskies.

Following the Connecticut game, DePaul hosts No. 10 Louisville on Wednesday night. The Cardinals and Blue Demons are scheduled for an 8 p.m. start on ESPNU and 670 The Score live from Allstate Arena.

Noting the Blue Demons: The men’s basketball program is 1,395-895 (.609) all-time... the Blue Demons have knocked down at least one three-pointer in 605 straight games... DePaul’s last game without a three was Feb. 16, 1993 against UAB at Allstate Arena... the Blue Demons are 317-148 (.682) all-time at Allstate Arena... DePaul is 7-1 (.875) all-time in games at McGrath-Phillips Arena... in each of Oliver Purnell’s three seasons at DePaul, the Blue Demons have faced three Chicagoland opponents during the non-conference portion of the schedule with an 8-1 record in those games... in the Purnell era, the Blue Demons are 15-3 (6-0 in 2012-13) when scoring 80 or more points... DePaul has used seven different starting lineups this season... Cleveland Melvin and Brandon Young have started every game this season... DePaul is scheduled to have at least 27 games televised during the 2012-13 season... DePaul played back-to-back overtime games on Jan. 30 at St. John’s and Feb. 2 against Notre Dame for the first time since the 1987-88 season... DePaul has never played three straight overtime games.

The Opponent - Connecticut Huskies: Connecticut enters Saturday’s game at 18-7 overall and 8-5 in BIG EAST play... the Huskies are playing their second game in three days following a 73-66 overtime victory against Cincinnati on Thursday night... four players average in double-figures led by Shabazz Napier’s 16.7 points per game... he is followed by Ryan Boatright (15.1 ppg), Omar Calhoun (11.4 ppg) and DeAndre Daniels (11.0 ppg)... Napier leads the team with 57 three-pointers while Daniels averages a team-high 4.9 rebounds per game... head coach Kevin Ollie is in his first season leading the Connecticut program... DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell is 1-5 all-time against the Huskies.

The Series: Saturday is the 11th meeting between the two programs... Connecticut has won nine of the previous 10 meetings including eight straight... the Huskies have defeated DePaul in the first round of the BIG EAST Championship in each of the last two seasons... the Huskies are one of four BIG EAST opponents DePaul faces twice this season... Connecticut won the first meeting, 99-78, at Gampel Pavilion on Jan. 8... this marks the third straight season the two teams face off more than once.

The Last Meeting: Brandon Young scored a career-high 35 points in a 99-78 loss at Connecticut on Jan. 8, 2013... Connecticut put four players in double-figures and used an early 19-5 run to open up a 20-point halftime lead at 54-34... DePaul pulled to within 12 points early in the second half, but Connecticut answered and pushed the advantage back to 24 points midway through the period... Cleveland Melvin added 18 points for the Blue Demons... DeAndre Daniels led the Huskies with 26 points and eight rebounds... Ryan Boatright added 22 and Shabazz Napier scored 16.

It Could Happen: A win would be No. 425 as a head coach for Oliver Purnell... Cleveland Melvin (1,348 points) needs 14 points to move into 17th on DePaul’s scoring list... Brandon Young (378 assists) needs nine assists to move from ninth to seventh all-time... with four three-pointers, Young becomes the 17th player in program history with 100 career three-pointers... with two blocked shots, Donnavan Kirk (77 blocks) moves from a tie for 13th to 12th on the all-time blocked shots chart.

Demon Doings: Notes following DePaul’s 90-66 loss at No. 11/11 Georgetown on Feb. 20:
- Wednesday was the 27th meeting between the two programs... Georgetown leads the series by a 21-6 margin.
- Brandon Young moved into 22nd place on DePaul’s all-time scoring list... he entered the game in 24th place and passed Brandon Cole (1991-95) and Bobby Simmons (1998-01).
- Young has scored in double-figures in 24 games this season and 68 times in his career.
- The loss was the 41st straight for DePaul against ranked opponents... the last win over a ranked opponent was an 84-76 win against No. 17/16 Villanova on Jan. 3, 2008.

4 Down to 1?: With four more three-pointers, junior guard Brandon Young joins a short list of players in DePaul history with at least 1,200 points, 300 assists and 100 three-pointers. Young enters the Connecticut game with 1,276 points, 378 assists and 96 three-pointers. Joining him on the short list are Brandon Cole, Tom Kleinschmidt and Sammy Meija.

With the four three-pointers and 22 assists over the remainder of the 2012-13 season, Young will become the only player in program history with at least 1,200 points, 400 assists and 100 three-pointers. The Baltimore native is averaging 4.46 assists over 26 games this season.

Who’s Next: The Blue Demons host Louisville on Wednesday night at Allstate Arena... the Cardinals are currently ranked 10th in both national polls and enter the weekend at 21-5 overall and 9-4 in BIG EAST play... Louisville hosts Seton Hall on Saturday... Wednesday will be the 59th meeting between the two programs... Louisville leads the series by a 37-21 margin and hold a nine-game winning streak against DePaul... a year ago, Louisville defeated DePaul in both regular-season meetings... the Cardinals posted a 76-59 win at the KFC Yum! Center on Jan. 14 before a 90-82 overtime win at Allstate Arena on Feb. 18.
