CHICAGO - DePaul hosts the Seton Hall Pirates for a Tuesday night BIG EAST game at Allstate Arena. Both teams are coming off one-possession defeats over the weekend as they meet for the second time this season. The Blue Demons and Pirates are scheduled for an 8 p.m. start at Allstate Arena.

Tuesday's game will be televised on FOX Sports 1 with Eric Collins (play-by-play) and Stephen Bardo (analyst) handling the television duties. DePaul enters the game at 10-18 overall and 2-13 in conference play after a 96-94 overtime loss against Marquette on Saturday afternoon. That loss extended DePaul's streak to a season-high 10 straight defeats. DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell is in his fourth season at DePaul and his 26th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Seton Hall is 14-13 overall and 5-9 in the BIG EAST and have dropped four of its last five games. Seton Hall coach Kevin Williard is in his fourth season leading the Pirates. Seton Hall won the first meeting of the season between the two sides by an 86-69 score on Jan. 25 in Newark, N.J.

Following the Seton Hall game, DePaul travels St. John's for the final road game of the regular season. The Blue Demons and Red Storm meet at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, March 2. Sunday's game can be seen on CBS Sports Network and head on WSCR 670 AM at Noon ET.

Noting the Blue Demons: The men's basketball program is 1,405-919 (.605) all-time... the 80-71 win at Milwaukee on Nov. 19 was game No. 2,300 in program history since the first fully-recognized season in 1923-24... men's basketball was played at DePaul prior to that season but records are incomplete... the 81-70 win over Florida Atlantic on Dec. 12 was win No. 1,400 since start of 1923-24 season... the Blue Demons have knocked down at least one three-pointer in 639 straight games... DePaul Drops Road Game at Seton Hall
DePaul dropped a BIG EAST road game Saturday evening by an 86-69 score at Seton Hall. Brandon Young led DePaul with 23 points as the Blue Demons dropped their third straight game.

The Last Meeting: Fuquan Edwin scored 30 points to lead Seton Hall to an 86-69 win at the Prudential Center on Jan. 25, 2014... Brandon Young led DePaul with 23 points... Edwin finished the first half with 22 points to lead the Pirates to a 45-25 advantage at intermission... Seton Hall was able to extend its lead to as much as 27 points in the second half... R.J. Curington scored 15 points off the bench and Durrell McDonald added 14 points for the Blue Demons.


It Could Happen: A win snaps DePaul's season-high 10-game losing streak... a three-pointer extends DePaul's streak to 640 straight games with a trifecta... Brandon Young (1,798 pts.) needs two points to become the sixth player in school history with 1,800 career points... with 40 points, Young passes Tom Kleinschmidt (1,837 pts., 1991-95) for fifth on the all-time scoring list... with eight field goals, Young (625 FG), passes Kleinschmidt (632 FG) for fifth on career field goal list... with three free throws, Young (423 FT) passes Howie Carl (425 FT, 1958-61).

Demon Doings: Notes following DePaul's 96-94 overtime loss against Marquette on Feb. 22:
- The game was the 114th meeting all-time between the two programs... it was just the fourth time the two programs have ever gone to overtime... the series is the longest in DePaul history... Marquette holds a 70-44 advantage all-time.
- DePaul is 2-1 this season in overtime and 38-39 all-time.
- The loss snapped a streak of 13 straight wins for DePaul when scoring more than 80 points... DePaul is 21-4 under Oliver Purnell when scoring 80 or more points.
- The Blue Demons have knocked down at least one three-pointer in 639 straight games... DePaul's last game without a three was Feb. 16, 1993 against UAB at Allstate Arena...
- Brandon Young made his 120th career start... he passed Cleveland Melvin (1792 pts., 2010-14) for sixth on the all-time scoring list... Young finished the game with 1,798 points.
- Charles McKinney appeared in his 85th career game.
- Durrell McDonald appeared in his 60th career game and scored in double figures for the fifth time this season... McDonald's three three-pointers were a career-high.
- Billy Garrett Jr.'s five three-pointers were a career-high and his 26 points were a career-high.

Trending: In all games, DePaul leads the BIG EAST statistical rankings in offensive rebounds (13.1 orpg) and is second in offensive rebound percentage (.353)... in league games only, the Blue Demons are first in offensive rebounds (12.3 orpg) and third in offensive rebound percentage (.332) and steals (6.3 spg)... four different players have recorded seven double-doubles this season... since the 2002-03 season, four teams have featured at least four players with a double-double... the 2003-04 squad had five (Andre Brown, Drake Diener, Quemont Greer, Delonte Holland, Sammy Mejia) with at least one double-double... DePaul has outrebounded its opponent in 18 games with a 10-8 record in those games... when DePaul is outrebounded or has the same amount of boards as the opponent, the record is 0-10 this season... the Blue Demons outrebounded the opponent in 12 games (8-4 record) in the entire 2012-13 season... Extra Frames: The Blue Demons are 2-1 this season when playing in overtime and 38-39 in program history. Prior to the wins over Chicago State and Butler in extra play, DePaul had dropped eight straight overtime games dating back to Nov. 2009.

DePaul's 77-70 overtime win over Chicago State on Dec. 15 snapped the eight-game losing streak and was the first overtime victory for Oliver Purnell at DePaul. Previously, the last overtime victory was a 68-66 game at Detroit on Nov. 28, 2009.

The 99-94 double-overtime win at Butler on Jan. 9 was just the 17th game in program history of two or more overtime periods. DePaul's last multi-OT game was a 90-82 loss in triple overtime against St. John's on March 5, 2010 and the last multi-OT win was a 76-69 double-overtime decision against Dayton in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on March 18, 2004.

In 114 all-time meetings DePaul and Marquette, just four have gone to overtime. The most recent was a 96-94 win in overtime for Marquette on Feb. 22 at Allstate Arena.

Rookies of the Week: A DePaul freshman has claimed the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week honor seven times this season for the highest season total in program history. The 2010-11 season saw Cleveland Melvin (four times) and Brandon Young (twice) earn the honor six times.

In 2013-14, Tommy Hamilton IV was the first winner of the season followed by five Rookie of the Week honors for Billy Garrett Jr. and R.J. Curington as the honoree on Feb. 3. Garrett's five rookie honors mark the highest total in program history. The Chicago native also earned the honor on Dec. 2, 16 and 30, Jan. 20 and Feb. 24.

Since the start of the 2008-09 season, no BIG EAST team has produced three different Rookie of the Week winners.

Who's Next: DePaul travels to St. John's for a Noon game on Sunday at Madison Square Garden... the Red Storm is 18-10 overall and 8-7 in the BIG EAST... St. John's hosts Xavier on Tuesday... DePaul defeated St. John's, 77-75, on Jan. 14.
