DePaul is 19-9 overall and finished 10-6 in Conference USA play after beating Tulane 81-71 yesterday. UAB is 20-9 overall and finished 10-6 in C-USA. The Blazers had a bye and haven't played since beating Houston 71-66 on Saturday.
Neither team is mentioned in either the Associated Press or ESPN/USA Today Top 25 polls.
DePaul leads the all-time series 18-12. The Blazers won the only meeting this season, 81-80 in overtime on March 2 at Bartow Arena. The Blue Demons won both meetings last season (75-64 at the Allstate Arena and 75-74 in overtime in the semifinals of the C-USA Tournament).
DePaul’s Dave Leitao is in his third season with the Blue Demons and his fifth as a head coach. He is 79-67 overall and 57-32 at DePaul. He is 2-2 against the Blazers. Mike Anderson is in his third season as a head coach, all at UAB. He is 63-32 and 2-2 against the Blue Demons.
