Cliff Clinkscales Signs National Letter-of-Intent to Play Men's Basketball at DePaul
Blue Demons ink point guard from Shores Christian Academy in Ocala, Florida.
CHICAGO – Cliff Clinkscales, a 6-1, 175-pound guard who currently attends Shores Christian Academy in Ocala, Florida, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play at DePaul it was announced today by Blue Demon head coach Dave Leitao.
“Cliff is a true point guard who brings speed, athleticism and quickness that we will need in our program.” Leitao said. “Cliff is a very unselfish player with tremendous ability to distribute the basketball and he can also be an explosive scorer when needed. His skills will be a benefit to each and every player in our program.”
A native of Queens, N.Y., Clinkscales averaged 21 points and 12 assists as a senior this past winter for Shores Christian Academy and was the Ocala Star-Banner Player of the Year. Clinkscales, who was rated as the 47th-best player in the nation by the Hoop Scoop, led his team to 36 wins and the National Association of Christian Athletes championship. He scored 31 points and dished out 11 assists against Florida’s top-rated Gainesville this past season and had 26 points, 15 assists, six rebounds and three steals in the District title game.
