FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The 2012 Men’s Cancun Challenge will be televised live on CBS Sports Network, Nov. 20-21, from the all-inclusive Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico.  The year’s featured teams include DePaul (BIG EAST), Iowa (Big Ten), Wichita State (Missouri Valley) and Western Kentucky (Sun Belt).

“CBS Sports Network has been a great media partner on this event and we’re thrilled to once again be airing the games live nationally on the network” said Dave King, CEO of Triple Crown Sports, producers of the Cancun Challenge.  “It is college basketball at its best with NBA-ready talent in one of the most unique fan experiences in sports.”

Two games from the Riviera Division will be televised on Tuesday, Nov. 20 featuring DePaul vs. Wichita State at 7 p.m. ET and Iowa vs. Western Kentucky at 9:30 p.m. ET. On Wednesday, Nov. 21, the Riviera third-place game will be televised at 7 p.m. ET, and the Riviera Championship game at 9:30 p.m. ET.  

The tournament consists of eight men’s Division I college basketball teams broken into two divisions (Riviera and Mayan). Eight games are played in the U.S. where the four teams in the Riviera Division host the four schools from the Mayan Division.  All eight teams then travel to Cancun for two games played at the Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort.  Previous Riviera Division champions include Vanderbilt (2008), Kentucky (2009), Missouri (2010), and Illinois (2011).
