CHICAGO – As the construction process sprints to a conclusion ahead of the November opening games for the DePaul basketball programs, the playing court at Wintrust Arena was installed for the first time on Wednesday. The court consisting of wood from maple trees was produced by Connor Sports that is also responsible for the NCAA Final Four courts each season.
Ray and Marge Meyer Court features a definitive Chicago flavor as the city’s world-famous skyline dominates half of the playing surface. The city’s landmark buildings are easily identifiable as it awaits the start of the 2017-18 season.
The men’s non-conference schedule features seven games at Wintrust Arena highlighted by the opener on Saturday, Nov. 11 against Notre Dame. The women’s program is scheduled to play four non-conference games in the new facility with Connecticut visiting Wintrust Arena on Friday, Dec. 8.
Conference schedules for both programs will be announced in the near future as well as radio and television broadcast information. Both teams will also play an exhibition game on Sunday, Nov. 5 at Wintrust Arena.
