Change in Saturday's Open Practice Schedule

CHICAGO - The men's and women's basketball open practices scheduled for this Saturday have changed in format as the men's team will now take the court in the first hour followed by the women's team. The annual event is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. at McGrath Arena.
Saturday's open practice starts with the men's team at 1 p.m. for 60 minutes before the women's team practices in front of fans at 2 p.m. Doors open for the practice at 12:30 p.m. and the first 200 fans in attendance get a boxed lunch and t-shirt. Prior to the open practice, Blue Madness kicks off the 2010-11 season on Friday night at 8 p.m. This year's version of the annual preseason event features scrimmages and a three-point contest for each team. The Hot Boyz from Power 92 (92.3 FM) will be broadcasting live from McGrath Arena from 6-10 p.m. and also hosting Blue Madness. Additionally, the Bucket Boyz will be performing and a number of great prizes including an iPad will be given away during Blue Madness. Get there early for free t-shirts as the doors open at 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition portion of the season opens later this month on Oct. 30 with games for both the men's and women's basketball teams. The day starts with the DePaul volleyball team hosting Connecticut at 2 p.m. before the women's basketball team hosts Northwood University at 5 p.m. The tripleheader wraps up with the men's basketball exhibition game also against Northwood at 7 p.m.
Season tickets are on sale now at the DePaul ticket office by calling (773) 325-SLAM. Men's basketball season tickets start at just $99 and a variety of mini-plans are also available. Fans can purchase women's basketball season tickets for as low as $99 while a special "Bruno Bunch" ticket package includes the home opener, the Maggie Dixon Classic (four games), Stanford and a BIG EAST Conference home game of your choice for only $25.
Single-game tickets for both men's and women's basketball games are set to go on sale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27.
