Montray Clemons Sidelined for Upcoming Season

CHICAGO – DePaul freshman Montray Clemons will miss the 2011-12 season it was determined today by DePaul physicians after suffering a left knee injury at Blue Madness. Clemons ruptured the patellar tendon in his left knee while slipping in warm-ups on Friday night.
Clemons is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, Oct. 18 with an expected rehabilitation period of six-to-eight months following the procedure.
The Baltimore native signed with DePaul in April 2011 after spending a prep season at Mack Academy in Charlotte, N.C. Clemons averaged 20 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks at Baltimore Poly during his senior season of high school.
