DePaul Takes On Texas in Final Game of CBE Hall of Fame Classic

CHICAGO - DePaul takes on Texas in the consolation game of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic. The Blue Demons and Longhorns are scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start on ESPNU live from Kansas City. DePaul dropped a 90-72 decision to No. 12 Wichita State on Monday while Texas came up on the short end of an 86-82 score against BYU.
Tuesday’s game will be televised on ESPNU with Mark Neely (play-by-play) and Sean Farnham (analyst) handling the television duties. DePaul enters the game at 3-2 after the 90-72 loss against Wichita State. DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell is in his fourth season at DePaul and his 26th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Texas is 4-1 overall and is led by Rick Barnes who is in his 16th season leading the Longhorns. Texas holds a 7-3 advantage in the series with Tuesday’s game serving as the first meeting since November 1999 in the San Juan Shootout.
Following the Texas game, DePaul hosts Oregon State on Sunday, Dec. 1 at Allstate Arena. The Blue Demons and Beavers can be seen on FOX Sports 1 starting at 3 p.m. The game can also be heard on WIND 560 AM. The game is the first of two straight against Pac-12 opponents with Arizona State visiting Rosemont on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.
