CHICAGO - DePaul returns to Wintrust Arena for the first of six December games on its home court. Including a Dec. 9 game at UIC, the Blue Demons face five games over a 15-day span from Dec. 2-16. The third all-time meeting between the two programs is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start in Chicago’s South Loop.

Saturday’s game will be televised on FOX Sports Networks with Jeff Levering (play-by-play) and Dickey Simpkins (analyst) handling the television duties. The game can also be seen online and on mobile devices with FOX Sports Go. Locally in Chicago, the game can be seen on The U Too. Youngstown State is 2-6 through eight games that include losses in the last four contests. DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is in his sixth season at DePaul and his third since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2017-18 campaign is Leitao’s 12th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Youngstown State is led by Jarred Calhoun who is in his first season leading the Penguins.

Noting the Blue Demons: The men’s basketball program is 1,439-991 (.592) all-time... the Blue Demons have knocked down at least one three-pointer in 745 straight games... DePaul’s last game without a three was Feb. 16, 1993 against UAB at Allstate Arena... the current streak started against Notre Dame on Feb. 21, 1993... DePaul is playing every home game under the same roof for the first time since the 2009-10 season... the last seven seasons have seen the Blue Demons play home games at Allstate Arena and McGrath-Phillips Arena... DePaul is 40-42 all-time in games that go to overtime... the Oregon game on Nov. 24 was the first overtime game this season.

The Opponent - Youngstown State Penguins: Youngstown State is 2-6 following an 81-74 loss against Robert Morris on Wednesday... the Penguins have dropped four straight since defeating Westminster, 91-83, on Nov. 21... Cameron Morse leads the team with 14.5 points and 14 three-pointers... Braun Hartfield adds 14.4 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per outing... head coach Jerrod Calhoun is in his first season leading the Penguins... DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is facing Youngstown State for the first time.

The Series: DePaul holds a 2-0 advantage in the series... both games have been played at DePaul... the Blue Demons posted an 89-55 win on Feb. 27, 1961 and a 107-69 victory on Nov. 25, 2001.

Against the Horizon League: DePaul is 57-12 all-time against the current membership of the Horizon League... the most common opponent from the conference is Detroit with 36 all-time meetings... the Blue Demons lead that series by a 29-7 margin... DePaul is also 14-1 against Milwaukee... DePaul travels to UIC on Dec. 9.

It Could Happen: A win would be number 1,440 for the program since the start of the 1923-24 season... Eli Cain is playing in his 70th career game... he needs seven points for 900 in his career... Marin Maric needs 12 rebounds for 700 in his career (654 at Northern Illinois/34 at DePaul).

Demon Doings: Notes following DePaul’s 82-69 win against Portland in the PK80 Invitational on Sunday:
- DePaul extended its streak to 745 straight games with a three-pointer.
- The 12 three-pointers set a new season high... DePaul’s eight three-pointers in the first half surpassed the previous mark of six three’s at Illinois on Nov. 17.
- DePaul put four players in double-figures for the fifth time in six games this season.
- Jaylen Butz registered his first career game in double-figures.
- Marin Maric recorded his first double-double at DePaul and the 28th of his career... it was also his 30th career game with 10 or more rebounds.
- Max Strus has scored in double-figures in all six games this season.
- DePaul is 6-0 all-time against Portland... Sunday was the first meeting since February 1965.

Trendy: The Blue Demons have placed four players in double-figures in five of the first six games... a year ago, at least four scored in double-figures six times (32 games)... DePaul is 0-4 when winning the opening jump ball and 2-0 when the opponent gets the first touch of the game... five different players have led DePaul in scoring this season... DePaul has committed less turnovers than the opponent in all six games.

Game Eight - Dec. 6 vs. Central Connecticut: DePaul hosts Central Connecticut on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Wintrust Arena... the Blue Demons and Blue Devils meet at 8 p.m. on FS1 and WIND 560 AM... the game is the first meeting between the two programs... Central Connecticut is 4-3 heading into a Saturday game at Brown... Central Connecticut is located in New Britain, Conn. and is a member of the Northeast Conference... head coach Donyell Marshall starred at Connecticut when DePaul head coach Dave Leitao was an assistant coach with the Huskies.
