CHICAGO - DePaul plays its second straight road game with a trip to Chicago’s southside for a Wednesday night game at Chicago State. The Blue Demons are looking to extend their current win streak to three straight starting at 7 p.m. at the Jones Convocation Center on Chicago State’s campus.
Wednesday’s game can be seen in Chicago on Lakeshore Public TV with Scott Slocum (play-by-play) and Kenny McReynolds (analyst) handling the television duties. DePaul’s radio duo of Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Jeff Blanzy (analyst) will call all the action on WSCR 670 AM. Wednesday’s game can also be heard on BlueTube at www.depaulbluedemons.com and on DePaul’s mobile app while ESPN3 will carry the Lakeshore Public TV feed. DePaul stands a 4-3 following an 80-76 win at Auburn on Friday in the SEC/BIG EAST Challenge. Chicago State enters the game at 2-7 after a 71-57 loss at SIU-Edwardsville on Saturday. DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell is in his third season at DePaul and his 25th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Chicago State’s Tracy Dildy is in his third season at Chicago State and was on the DePaul coaching staff from 1997-02.
Following the Chicago State game, DePaul returns to Allstate Arena for a matchup against Milwaukee. The Blue Demons and Panthers are scheduled for a 4 p.m. at Allstate Arena. Sunday’s game can be heard in Chicago on WYLL 1160 AM with streaming available on BlueTube.

Blue Demons in the NCAA & BIG EAST Stat Rankings: Through games of Dec. 2, DePaul is 13th in the NCAA rankings with an average of 10.71 steals per contest. The figure is also ranked third among the 15 BIG EAST programs. The Blue Demons are also ranked in the nation’s top 50 with 76.6 points per game (47th), and a turnover margin of +3.4 (48th).
Individually, Cleveland Melvin is one of three players in the NCAA statistical rankings through games of Dec. 2 to average at least 20 points and eight rebounds per game. He is joined Jamaal Franklin from San Diego State (20.2 ppg/10.0 rpg) and VMI’s Stan Okoye (21.1 ppg/9.0 rpg). Melvin enters the Chicago State game with 20.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
In the BIG EAST rankings, only Brandon Young and Providence’s Bryce Cotton are among the top 15 in both scoring and assists.
