DePaul is 2-0 after beating Central Michigan 92-56 last Saturday at the Allstate Arena. Fairfield is 2-2 after beating UNC-Wilmington 69-60 on Monday and Iona 83-78 on Thursday. Both games went into overtime.


Neither team is mentioned in either the Associated Press or USA Today Top 25 polls.


DePaul leads the series 2-0. The Blue Demons won last season 94-90 on December 8, 2001 at Madison Square Garden. The first meeting was an 85-75 DePaul victory on December 30, 2000 at the Allstate Arena.


DePaul's Dave Leitao is in his first season with the Blue Demons and is 2-0. He is 24-35 in two-plus seasons as a head coach and has never faced Fairfield. Tim O'Toole is in his fifth season as a head coach, all at Fairfield. He is 52-65 including an 0-2 record against the Blue Demons.
