Devin Gage to Miss Remainder of 2017-18 Season

CHICAGO – DePaul sophomore guard Devin Gage will miss the rest of the 2017-18 season after rupturing his Achilles tendon in his right foot on Wednesday. Gage suffered the injury just three minutes into the game against Central Connecticut.

Gage has started all eight games this season averaging 5.9 points and 2.8 assists over 24.1 minutes per game. He totaled a season-high 11 points against Oregon in the PK80 Invitational and nearly recorded a double-double with 10 points and eight assists against Delaware State.

DePaul plays at UIC on Saturday before hosting Alabama A&M on Monday night. The remainder of the non-conference schedule features Northwestern on Dec. 16 and Miami (Ohio) on Dec. 21 before the Blue Demons open BIG EAST play on Dec. 27 against Villanova.
