DePaul is 5-2 after beating Notre Dame 84-73 on Saturday at the Joyce Center. Northwestern is 2-4 after beating Chicago State 78-53 on December 4 at Welsh-Ryan Arena.



Neither DePaul or Northwestern is mentioned in either the Associated Press or ESPN/USA Today Top 25 poll.



DePaul leads the series 17-7 and has won two consecutive games. DePaul won last season’s meeting 65-53 on November 23, 2003 at the Allstate Arena. The last Northwestern win in the series came on December 6, 1997 by a score of 72-59 in Evanston, which was also DePaul’s last appearance at Welsh-Ryan Arena.



DePaul’s Dave Leitao is in his third season with the Blue Demons and his fifth as a head coach. He is 65-60 overall and 43-25 at DePaul. He is 1-0 against Northwestern. Bill Carmody is in his ninth season as a head coach and his fifth at Northwestern. He is 147-93 overall including a 55-68 slate with the Wildcats. Carmody is 0-1 against DePaul.



Tonight's game will be televised by ESPN2 with Dave Revsine (play-by-play) and Doug Gottlieb (color commentary) handling the announcing duties.



There is no DePaul radio broadcast for tonight's game. The contest will be broadcast on WGN (720 AM) in Chicago.
