CHICAGO - DePaul concludes the non-conference portion of the 2012-13 regular season Saturday afternoon against the Loyola Ramblers. A plethora of streaks and milestones are on the line as the Blue Demons look to continue one of their strongest starts to a season in recent years. Saturday's game is the last of a three-game homestand prior to the Jan. 2 BIG EAST opener against Seton Hall. The Blue Demons and Ramblers are scheduled for a 1 p.m. start in Rosemont at Allstate Arena. DePaul enters the game with a seven-game winning streak while Loyola has won six of its last seven games.
Saturday's game between DePaul and Loyola can be seen in Chicago on The U Too (WCIU-DT2) with Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Jeff Blanzy (analyst) calling all the action. The broadcast will also be available online on ESPN3 and the simulcast can be heard on WSCR 670 The Score. DePaul stands at 9-3 following a 69-61 win against UMBC last Saturday. The Blue Demons hold a seven-game winning streak heading into Saturday while Loyola enters the game with an 8-3 record. DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell is in his third season at DePaul and his 25th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Loyola's Porter Moser is in his second season leading the Ramblers.
Following the Loyola game, DePaul opens its eighth season in the BIG EAST Conference with a Jan. 2 game against Seton Hall. The game will be televised on The U Too in Chicago as part of the BIG EAST Network and on the radio at WSCR 670 The Score with Blanzy and Zaidman calling the action courtside. Start time is 8 p.m. at Allstate Arena.
