DePaul senior golfer John Pavelko finished in a tie for seventh overall to become just the second DePaul golfer to earn BIG EAST All-Conference honors, the league office announced on Thursday.
Led by John Pavelko's seventh place finish, the DePaul golf team took sixth place at the BIG EAST Championship on Tuesday at the Watson Course at the Reunion Resort. DePaul's sixth place finish is the program's highest since the Blue Demons captured fifth place honors in 2007.
Heading into Tuesday's final round, the Blue Demons are in sixth place at the BIG EAST Championship. Individually, John Pavelko and Adrian Halimi are both tied for 16th place on the leaderboard. The Blue Demons tee off on Tuesday at 8 a.m. (ET)
The DePaul men's golf team sits in a three-way tie for fifth place after one round at the BIG EAST Championship on Sunday. Playing the Watson Course at the Reunion Resort, Moritz Ackerhans leads the Blue Demons and sits in a group knotted in 14th place after carding a one-over 73.
The DePaul men's golf team concludes its 2012-13 season at the BIG EAST Championship, April 28-30 at the Reunion Resort in Orlando, Florida. The 12-team league championship field will tee off at Tom Watson Course beginning on Sunday at 8 a.m. (CT).
DePaul head men's golf coach Betty Kaufmann announced on Tuesday that James Lelliott and Jonathan Hewett have both signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) and will join the Blue Demon program for the 2013-14 season.
