First Round Results 
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – DePaul freshman Moritz Ackerhans fired a three-under score of 69 to lead DePaul in the first round of the Spring Break Championship on Friday. The Blue Demons sit in second place heading into Saturday’s second round while Ackerhans is in a four-way tie for fourth place.
Ackerhans posted the best round of the season by DePaul golfer with his first-round score of 69. DePaul put together its strongest team round of the season with three players in the top 15. Russell Budd put together a first-round score of 71 (-1) for a tie for 10th place and Charles Boucher is in a group in 15th place following his even-par round of 72.
Ben Westley is in a group in 36th and Maximilian Mayer rounds out DePaul’s team scoring in a tie for 50th place. Westley shot a 74 in the first round and Mayer put together a round of 76 on Friday.
Ohio State sits atop the team leaderboard with a team score of 278 (-10) ahead of DePaul’s score of 286 (-2). Nebraska is third following a team total of 291 (+3) in the first round.
Saturday’s second round is scheduled for 18 holes and the tournament concludes with the third and final round on Sunday at Gleneagles Country Club.
