Final Results -- Memphis Intercollegiate
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The DePaul men’s golf team completed the Memphis Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the South Course at Colonial Country Club. The Blue Demons finished 16th while freshman Adrian Halimi paced DePaul with a two-over 74 in the final round.
Halimi carded the best round for the Blue Demons during the tournament on Tuesday, but came up short in the first two rounds. The freshman finished tied for 83rd after carding rounds of 85 (+13) and 90 (+18). Halimi’s 74 in the third round, was one stroke off his season-best 73 that he shot at the Ram Masters in the Fall.
Russell Budd led the Blue Demons and tied for 55th and was six over in the final round on Tuesday. The senior, was consistent during the tournament and improved each round. He carded a first round score of 80 and shot a 79 in the second round.
Moritz Ackerhans placed 69th and totaled a three round score of 242. Jan Juelicher tied for 80th and John Pavelko finished 88th.
Austin Peay claimed the team title after combining for an 897 during the two-day tournament. Dustin Korte from Austin Peay won the individual title and finished the tournament three over (218).
DePaul returns to the course in Delray Beach, Florida for the Spring Break Invitational, Mar. 29-31. The three-day tounrament will be played at the Glen Eagles Country Club.
