Spring Break Championship Final Results
LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- The DePaul men’s golf team finished in 10th place at the three-day FAU Spring Break Championship which was played at the Fountains Country Club. Adrian Halimi finished in a tie for ninth place which is the career-best finish for the freshman.
Halimi carded a 54-hole best 216 for the tournament which is the lowest score posted by any Blue Demon this season. The freshman carded a two-over 73 on Sunday. Halimi tied for ninth with Connecticut’s John Flaherty.
Russell Budd, who led DePaul in the first round, carded a third-round score of 72. Budd tied for 26th which marks the fourth top 30 finish for the senior.
Moritz Hausweiler (229) tied for 47th and Moritz Ackerhans (230) was tied for 53rd. Ackerhans carded a third round score of 75 which was the junior’s best round of the tournament. Jan Juelicher (231) finished in a tie for 56th.
John Pavelko, who was playing in the tournament as an individual, carded a final round score of 79 and finished in a pack at 87th.
DePaul combined for am 889 team score to place 10th. UCF carded an 866 as a team to claim Championship honors.
Tomasz Anderson from Jacksonville State won the individual title after carding a three under in the final round. Anderson was 209 for the tournament.
DePaul returns to the course, April 15-16 at Northwestern’s Spring Invitational at the Glen Golf Club in Glenview.
