Westley Makes Move in Round Two

Rounds 2 Results ORLANDO, Fla. – After starting the day in a tie for 40th, DePaul’s Ben Westley charged up the leaderboard into a tie for 14th after his round of 70 on Monday. The senior aims for his second straight BIG EAST top 10 finish in the final round on Tuesday at Reunion Resort. Westley made the Watson Course circuit with three birdies, just one bogey and 14 pars in his second round. His score of 70 ranked among the top scores of the second round as just four of the 60 competitors shot 70 or better on Monday. Through two rounds, Westley is tied for 14th with a three-over total of 147. Russell Budd followed Westley in a group in 28th place after he shot a 77 in his second round. Budd opened play Sunday with a 73 for a two-round total of 150 (+6). Mortiz Ackerhans and Jan Juelicher are tied for 44th while John Pavelko is in a group in 55th place. Ackerhans followed his 76 on Sunday with a 78 in the second round while Juelicher posted a score of 77 for the second straight day. Both players have a two-round score of 154 (+10). Pavelko holds a tournament score of 162 (+18) following successive rounds of 81. Notre Dame holds a seven-shot lead over second-place Louisville in the team standings. DePaul is tied with USF in ninth place and stand just five shots behind eighth-place Marquette. Max Scodro from Notre Dame has a two-shot advantage on individual leaderboard with a tournament score of 137 (-7).
