FORT COLLINS, Colo. – John Pavelko led the DePaul golf team through two rounds at the Ram Masters Invitational.  Playing at the Fort Collins Country Club the Blue Demons are currently tied for eighth with Wyoming after 36 holes.  Nevada leads the 16-team field and is +6 for the tournament.

Pavelko led the Blue Demons and opened the day by shooting a +4 (74) and was tied for 32nd after the first 18 holes.  Looking to move up in the standings, the DePaul senior settled into his game and was +1 in the second round and begins the final day of competition in a five-way tie for 19th.

Pavelko's second-round score of 71 was a career-best for the senior, whose previous low-score was a 75 which he carded five times during his career.

Moritz Ackerhans sits in tie for 36th after carding rounds of 75 and 74, respectively.  Blue Demon freshman Moritz Hausweiler made one of the largest jumps on the leader board.  The freshman shot a 77 (+7) in the first round and bounced back with a 71 (+1) in the final 18 holes of the day. Hausweiler is tied for 43rd.

Russell Budd had a two-round total of 151. Adrian Halimi carded a 154 to round out the Blue Demon contingent and enters the final day of the tournament in tie for 64th.

Nevada’s Zak Griffiths leads the field and is -3 for the tournament.

The final 18 holes of the tournament begins with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. (CST) on Tuesday.
