First & Second Round Results | Round Three Tee Times
LAKE FOREST, Ill. - DePaul senior Moritz Ackerhans sits in a tie for 15th place after 36 holes at Northwestern's 17th annual Windon Memorial. Playing at the Knollwood Club, Ackerhans carded four birdies and finished the day even, after recording rounds of 70 (-2) and 74 (+2).
Hitting the links for the first time in 2013-14, Ackerhans came out firing. The senior, sat at par after the front nine, but an eagle on the 529-yard 16th hole catapulted Ackerhans into a six-way tie for sixth place heading into the second round.
Ackerhans again carded a 36 on the front nine which included a birdie on the sixth hole. A bogey on 13 was erased when the senior birdied the 16th hole, but a double-bogey on 17 put Ackerhans at two-over for the round.
Michigan's Chris O'Neill sits atop the leaderboard and is five under for the tournament after carding rounds of 71 (-1) and 68 (-4).
The Blue Demons sit in 16th place (+32) heading into Monday's final round. No. 24 Kent State combined for seven under and sit atop the leaderboard.
DePaul sophomore Adrian Halimi sits in tie for 58th place after rounds of 74 (+2) and 78 (+6). Playing in their first collegiate tournament, Jonathan Hewett and Paul Tardella, who is competing as an individual, are tied for 77th and James Lelliott is in 82nd. Jan Juelicher rounds out the DePaul contingents and is in 85th place.
Action resumes on Monday at 8 a.m. while Juelicher is the first Blue Demon to tee off. The sophomore will start on the 10th hole at 8:45 a.m.
