Cardinal Collegiate - Final Results
SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. - Russell Budd finished fourth and Ben Westley was tied for sixth as DePaul finished in a tie for fourth on Tuesday at the Cardinal Collegiate. The 36-hole tournament featured 18 teams with three DePaul golfers finishing in the top 30.
Budd and Westley each recorded even-par rounds of 72 on Tuesday while Jan Juelicher shot a one-over 73. Budd finished fourth with a tournament total of 141 (-3) and Westley finished with rounds of 71 and 72 for a one-under total of 143. Juelicher posted a 73 on Tuesday to finish with a four-over score of 148.
Moritz Ackerhans carded his second straight score of 76 to finish in a tie for 51st and John Pavelko finished in a group in 78th place. Ackerhans finished his tournament with a 152 (+8) and Pavelko's tournament total was 158 (+14).
Arkansas-Little Rock won the team title with a total of 573 head of Northern Illinois at 581. Wisconsin finished third just a stroke ahead of fourth-place finishers DePaul and Louisville. The Blue Demons team total was a seven-over score of 583. UALR's Nicklaus Benton and Alfred Kerstis took the top two spots with individual scores of 137 (-7) and 139 (-5).
DePaul hosts the John Dallio Memorial on Oct. 8-9 at Ruffled Feathers GC in Lemont, Ill. The Blue Demons welcome Bradley, Chicago State, Detroit, Drake, Eastern Illinois, IUPUI, Loyola-Chicago, Marquette, Missouri, Northern Iowa, SIU-Edwardsville, Western Illinois and Green Bay for the annual tournament.
