LEMONT, Ill. – Fighting the wind, cold and early morning frost, the DePaul golf team sits in a tie for fifth place in the Blue Demons’ annual John Dallio Memorial Tournament on Saturday at Ruffled Feathers. Marquette and Northern Iowa tie for the tournament lead and are +18 after one complete round of play.

Starting Saturday nearly 75 minutes later than the projected start time of 8 a.m., the second round was not finished as play was cut short due to darkness.  Sunday’s action begins at 9 a.m. with teams playing the last couple holes of the second round and the third round will start immediately after.

Green Bay’s Tom Boockmeier and SIUE’s Dalton Charboneau lead the field and sit at par for the tournament.

DePaul’s Moritz Ackerhans is currently in an eight-way tie for the eighth position and paces the Blue Demons at +4 (76). Russell Budd and John Pavelko are one stroke behind Ackerhans and both carded a 77 on the day.  Moritz Hasweiler (81) and Jan Juelicher (86) round out DePaul’s five players.

Heading into the Sunday’s action, the Blue Demons are five shots behind Marquette and Northern Iowa.

Playing as individuals, DePaul’s Alex Lloyd sits in 17th place after carding a 77.  Mark Sanchez is also playing well and shot a 78 in the first round -- Brad Stephens (80), Adrian Halimi (84) and Brad Peterson (89) round out the Blue Demon contingent.
