Georgetown Intercollegiate: Day One Results Get Acrobat Reader

BEALLSVILLE, MD - The DePaul golf team sits in a tie for sixth place with William and Mary after two rounds at the Georgetown Intercollegiate on Monday.  Blue Demon freshman, Jonathan Hewett sits in a tie for 17th after 36 holes.

Hewett was in tie for ninth place after the first eighteen holes.  The Clacton-on-Sea, England native shot a season-low 71 to open the day and carded a 76 (+5) in the second round.  Hewett is nine shots off the tournament's leader Paul Dunne from UAB.  Dunne finished four under after rounds of 69 (-2) and 69 (-2).

Blue Demon sophomore Adrian Halimi and junior Jan Juelicher are tied in a group for 23rd. Halimi recorded rounds of 74 (+3) and 75 (+4) while Julicher shot a 76 (+5) and a season-low 73 (+2).

Moritz Ackerhans and James Lelliott rounded out the DePaul contingent.  Ackerhans finished eight over and is tied for 30th after rounds of 76 (+5) and 74 (+3).  Lelliott sits in 50th place after combining for a 154 on Monday.

No. 9 UAB leads the 12-team field and is eight-under (560) for the tournament.  DePaul combined for a 594 score, while the Blue Demons are just two shots behind Campbell (592) and five behind No. 80 Notre Dame (589).

The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday.  Tee-times are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. (ET).
