First and Second Round Results
GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Junior Matthew McMahon sits two shots under par as the DePaul golf team wrapped up day one of the Ron Moore Invitational on Monday. The Blue Demons hold 13th place in the team standings entering Tuesday’s final round at the Palm Valley Golf Club.
McMahon carded scores of 70 and 72 during Monday’s two rounds and is currently tied with nine other golfers for 20th place among individuals. Junior Will Cumberland recorded DePaul’s second best performance of the day with rounds of 71 and 73. He shares a nine way tie for 38th in the individual standings.
The Blue Demons carry a combined score of 581 into the final 18 holes. Wichita State leads the team standings with a score of 552, while host team Denver follows in second place with a score of 564. Troy Merritt of Boise State leads all individuals with a nine-under-par score of 135.
