DePaul Moves Up to Fifth at C&F Bank Intercollegiate
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Michael Furci moved into the top 10 with a one-over 72 on Tuesday to lead DePaul to a tie for fifth at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate. Furci was followed by Greg Doherty and Ben Westley in a group at 24th place.
Furci started the day in a tie for 21st following a 73 on Monday. He fired a 72 in the second round to move into a tie for 10th for his fourth top 10 finish of the season with a total of 145 (+3).
Doherty and Westley finished in a group in 24th place. Doherty came back on Tuesday with a 73 after shooting a 75 in the first round while Westley carded a 74 in both rounds. Each player finished the tournament with a six-over score of 148.
Charles Boucher tallied an 80 to finish in a tie for 72nd while Russell Budd finished with a 79 in the second round for a tie for 86th place. Brad Stephens, playing as an individual, also finished in the group in 86th after his 80 on Tuesday.
DePaul heads to Jasper, Ind. later this week to compete in the BSU Cardinal Collegiate. The three-round, two-day tournament hosted by Ball State takes place at Sultan's Run Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.
