CHICAGO – DePaul freshman James Lelliott was named the BIG EAST Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week it was announced on Tuesday by the league office.  Lelliott earned his first career weekly honor after leading the Blue Demons to a fourth place finish at the FAU Spring Break Championship.

Last week, Lelliott carded rounds of 75 (+4), 67 (-4) and 70 (-1) for a career-best 212 (-1) and finished in a tie for seventh place out of 90 golfers.  The Worthing, England native’s seventh place finish is the freshman’s top finish of the season and second top 10 finish.  He also tied for 10th at the USF Invitational, Mar. 2-4.
