Blue Demons Tied For Fourth Through Two Rounds



BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Greg Doherty, Michael Furci and Russell Budd each finished in the top 25 to lead DePaul into a tie for fourth following the first two rounds of the adidas Hoosier Invitational. The tournament concludes on Sunday with 18 holes in the final round.

Doherty sits in a tie for 15th while Furci and Budd are in a group in 21st. Doherty opened the tournament with an even-par 71 on Saturday morning before carding a 76 in the afternoon session. His two-round total of 147 puts him at five-over and with five other players in 15th place.

Furci posted rounds of 73 and 75 while Budd shot a 78 before firing a 70 in the second round. Each player is stroke behind Doherty in a seven-way tie for 21st.

Ben Westley holds a two-round total of 150 (+8) following a 73 and a 77 in the first two rounds. Charles Boucher just behind Westley in a tie for 41st with a nine-over total of 151 via rounds of 77 and 74.

Host Indiana leads the team leaderboard at 560 followed by Ball State and Detroit. The Blue Demons are tied with Evansville after posting a team total of 589 on Saturday. Indiana's Chase Wright holds the individual lead with a two-round total of 138 (-4).

Sunday's final 18 holes start at 9 a.m. ET at the IU Golf Course.
