Golf in 13th after Opening Round of the Conference USA Championships

McMahon tied for 34th after first 18 holes of the three-day tournament.

GULFPORT, Miss. – DePaul is in 13^th place after day one of the annual Conference USA Championships at Grand Bear Golf Club.

The Blue Demons are at 315, just two shots out of 12^th behind Saint Louis.

Individually, freshman Matthew McMahon leads DePaul and is tied for 34^th overall after shooting 76. Senior Kyle Patterson is three shots behind McMahon and tied for 53^rd at 79.

The three-day tournament runs through Wednesday.
