Men's Golf Tied For Seventh After Day One of the BIG EAST Conference Championship

DADE CITY, Fla. – DePaul completed the first day of competition at the annual BIG EAST Conference Men’s Golf Championship in a tie for seventh place at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.

The Blue Demons shot identical team rounds of 297 are currently tied with Connecticut at 594. Louisville leads the team standings at 558.

Individually, sophomore Matthew McMahon paced the Blue Demons and is tied for 18th overall after carding rounds of 71 and 74 (145). Classmate Will Cumberland is tied for 25th after shooting 76-71 (147).

The tournament concludes on Tuesday with 18 holes.
