Division I Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars

CHICAGO – DePaul golfers, Ben Westley and Russell Budd were named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars on Wednesday.  Westley and Budd were among the 142 players in Division I honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically and compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level.  In addition, he must participate in 70-percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships,

Along with the golfers success on the course, Division I golfers must have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.

Westley, who graduated in June, is making his second appearance on the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars list.  Budd, who is a junior, is making his first.
