Golf Finishes Second At Blue Demon Invitational
WEST CHICAGO, Ill. - DePaul's Kyle Patterson finished in the top 10 and Memphis made a strong push to earn the team title at the inaugural Blue Demon Invitational on Tuesday at Prairie Landing Golf Club. Patterson carded a sterling round of even-par 72 on Tuesday to finish with a three-round total of 223, good for seventh place for the tournament. Joe Hermes carded an 80 on Tuesday to finish at 228 and a tie for 14th place overall while Scott Yopchick also shot an 80 on Tuesday to finish at 229 and tied for 18th. Memphis carded an impressive round of 277 on Tuesday to come back from a four-shot deficit on Monday to claim the team title with a score of 883. The Blue Demons were second at 904, four shots ahead of Marquette and Eastern Illinois who tied for third place at 908.
