CHICAGO – DePaul will welcome 14 teams to town this week as the Blue Demons host the annual John Dallio Memorial Tournament at Prairie Landing Golf Club in West Chicago.

Along with the Blue Demons, the tournament field includes Cincinnati, Evansville, Oakland, Youngstown State, Wright State, Detroit Mercy, Cleveland State, Eastern Illinois, Southern Illinois, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Dayton, Lewis, Saint Louis and Western Illinois.

The 54-hole tournament opens on Monday with 36 holes starting at 8:30 a.m. The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday starting at 7:20 a.m.

Last year Southern Illinois took the team title by three strokes over Saint Louis while Tom Balderston of Notre Dame won the individual title with a three-round total of 213.

The tournament is named in honor of former DePaul golfer John Dallio (1978-2003) who lost his courageous battle with glioblastoma, a deadly brain tumor on October 6, 2003. A member of the Blue Demons from 1997-2001, John earned a degree from DePaul in Finance and worked in the Blue Demon athletic department for two years.
