Golf Hits the Road For The First Time This Season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. DePaul’s golf team will make its 2008-09 road debut on Monday and Tuesday when it plays in the annual Cardinal Classic at Louisville’s Cardinal Club. The tournament will feature 36 holes of action on Monday followed by a final 18 on Tuesday. DePaul opened the season last weekend by hosting the annual John Dallio Memorial at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont, Ill. The Blue Demons finished the tournament in sixth place. Individually, DePaul, which finished sixth in the team standings, was led by Greg Doherty who tied for eighth at 216 after carding rounds of 71-73-72. Nick Martin was tied for 20th after shooting a final-round 71 and finished with a 221.
