CHICAGO The DePaul men’s golf team welcomes 12 squads to Ruffled Feathers Golf Club this week for the 2007 John Dallio Memorial. The three-round tournament runs Monday and Tuesday at the Blue Demons’ home course in Lemont, Illinois.

DePaul enters the John Dallio Memorial after opening its season three weeks ago at the Mid-Pines Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The Blue Demons tied for fifth in the team standings and were paced by Cory Blenkush, who finished with a 54-hole total of 213.
The 2006 John Dallio Memorial at Prairie Landing Golf Club saw Northern Iowa win the team title by 13 strokes. DePaul’s Matthew McMahon took the individual crown in a playoff victory with a three-round score of 210. The Blue Demons finished third in the team standings.
The tournament is named in honor of former DePaul golfer John Dallio (1978-2003) who lost his courageous battle with glioblastoma, a deadly brain tumor on October 6, 2003. A member of the Blue Demons from 1997-2001, John earned a degree from DePaul in Finance and worked in the Blue Demon athletics department for two years.
