Men's Golf Fourth At Eastern Illinois
CHARLESTON, IL – Drew Mayhew is one shot off the lead and the Blue Demons as a team are in fourth place, six shots back after the first round of the Ironhorse Intercollegiate at the Ironhorse Golf Club.
Mayhew carded an opening-round one-under 71, a shot behind co-leaders Mark Searle (Tennessee State) and Matt Willmott (UMKC). DePaul shot a 298, six shots behind first round leader UMKC. The Blue Demons’ Joe Hermes carded an even-par 72 to tie for sixth place. The final round of competition is set for Tuesday.
