CHICAGO – The DePaul golf team looks to end its fall season on a positive note when it travels to Beallsville, Md. for the Georgetown Intercollegiate, Oct. 21-22. The Blue Demons are one of 12 teams to hit the links for the 54-hole event. Two rounds are scheduled for Monday and the final 18 set for Tuesday.

DePaul is joined on the course by No. 9 UAB, Campbell, Georgetown, Miami (OH), No. 80 Notre Dame, Penn State, St. Joseph’s, Toledo, West Florida, William & Mary and Xavier.

Moritz Ackerhans, Jan Juelicher, Adrian Halimi, Jonathan Hewett and James Lelliott are competing for the Blue Demons.

The Members Club at Four Streams is the host course for the 29th annual Georgetown Intercollegiate. This par-72 course reaches 7,102 yards. Set amidst the rolling Maryland farmland, Four Streams has quickly become one of Maryland’s finest golf facilities. Elevation changes abound, and the whispering fescue weaves throughout the gentle “four streams” providing the ultimate challenge.

DePaul finished in a tie for 13th place at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate last tournament. Ackerhans tied for 30th after shooting a 222 (+6). Hewett finished nine stroked behind fellow teammate Ackerhans, bringing in a 231 (+15).

The Blue Demons' fall season comes to a close after the Georgetown Intercollegiate. DePaul’s spring season begins Feb. 10-11 at the Carlton Oaks Invitational in Santee, Calif.
