Blue Demon golf program has signed a pair of players to National Letters-of-Intent Head Coach Betty Kaufmann announced.
– The DePaul golf program has signed two players to National Letters-of-Intent Blue Demon head coach Betty Kaufmann announced today.
DePaul has signed Matthew McMahon of Brockville, Ontario and Michael Gammon of Garland, Texas.
McMahon attends St. Mary's Catholic School in Brockville and has been selected as a member of the RCGA'S National Player Development Program. He received the award for top ranked junior golfer in Ottawa Valley for second consecutive year and set a competitive course record this year at the AJGA Ontario Future Links Championship by shooting a 67 and finishing second in the tournament. He was voted as Brockville and his District’s 2003 Sportsperson of the Year and
achieved status as Ontario scholar based on grade 12 marks.
Gammon will come to DePaul from Naaman Forest High School in Garland, the same home town of current Blue Demon Josh Scarborough. Gammon has played in numerous AJGA, USGA, FCWT, IJGT and Junior PGA tournaments. He consistently finished among the leaders, winning the Garland High School City Tournament and the AJGA pre season tournament an Arkansas. Michael is also a member of the National Honor Society and on student council.
