Ohio State Slips Past DePaul in Columbus

The Blue Demons dropped a 2-1 match to the Buckeyes on Friday night.

2012 (Freshman): Played in 14 matches and started nine of them in the 2012 season... recorded his first collegiate assist on one of the Blue Demons' two goals in their win against Northwestern... had an impressive shot on goal percentage of .500, firing shots on frame against Ohio State, Drake, Marquette, and Syracuse... competed for a total of 796 minutes in his freshman year.

High School: Was a four-year starter for Parkway North and led the squad to the 2010 Suburban South Conference title...captained the team in his junior and senior seasons when he also earned Suburban South First Team All-Conference....named Second Team All-Conference as a sophomore...compiled 39 assists to go along with 18 goals in his high school career...also played for the Lou Fusz Soccer Club, 2011 MRL Premier Division Champions...his Lou Fusz team won the State Cup in 2010 and 2012 and was a regional finalist in 2011.

Personal: Son of Rick and Ann Brinckwirth...has a brother, Tim, and a sister, Carolyn...enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
