Each Scores First Goal of Season in 2-1 Win Over Syracuse

Career: Two-time member of BIG EAST Conference All-Academic Team

2011 (Senior): Two-year captain switched from defender to midfielder, playing in 18 matches with 17 starts... scored a goal at Villanova... had first collegiate assist against Big Ten champion Northwestern and followed up with another assist later in the match at Wish Field... took a season-high five shots with three shots on goal at Cincinnati... finished third on the team in shots with 22 and third in shots on goal with 11.

2010 (Junior): Played in all 19 matches with 17 starts... Blue Demons co-captain was switched to defense and helped anchor the back line... scored the team's first goal of the season in opener at Green Bay... took 13 shots with seven on goal.

2009 (Sophomore): Named to the BIG EAST Conference All-Academic Team... Played in 18 matches with 12 starts... scored the team's first goal of the season and his first collegiate goal against Green Bay... also registered first collegiate point with that goal... scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory over No. 8 UC Irvine... took 11 shots with seven on goal.

2008 (Freshman): Took eight shots while starting three of 10 matches played.

2007: Granted a medical hardship... played against Valparaiso.

High School: Three-year letterwinner and starter at SLUHS... team captain as a senior... earned All-State, All-Metro, All-Conference and All-District honors... totaled 40 goals and 33 assists in prep career... high school teammate of current DePaul soccer players John Kornfeld and Brent Zang... club team, Scott Gallagher, placed third at the 2006 USYSA Nationals... Scott Gallagher was also a three-time USYSA Missouri State Champion... coached by Tom Howe... played with DePaul's Joe Sondag at the club level.

Personal: Son of Ken and Connie Leinauer... has three siblings, Dan, Patrick and Beth... majoring in Finance.
