DeKALB, Ill. - In its second of three preseason exhibitions, the DePaul men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Northern Illinois on Saturday evening at the NIU Sports Complex. The Blue Demons move to 0-1-1 this preseason with a matchup at Milwaukee looming on Monday.

In a first half that saw limited scoring opportunities, the Huskies' Gael Rivera took a pass inside the box from Isaac Kannah and capitalized on the counterattack to net the game's lone goal in the 20th minute.

Down 1-0, the Blue Demons rebounded in the second half to put the pressure on the Huskies' substitute goalkeeper.

Michael Kozielek and David Selvaggi--the same duo that combined for a goal in DePaul's 2-2 draw at Michigan on Wednesday--nearly connected late in the contest but a quality save by Jordan Godsey spoiled the Blue Demons' chance at equalizing.

DePaul sophomore Joseph Hart finished the contest for the Blue Demons with one first half save.

With two exhibitions complete, the Blue Demons conclude the preseason on Monday evening with a 4 p.m. matchup at Milwaukee. Fans can follow live on GameTracker or watch a live feed via the Horizon League
