ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The DePaul men’s soccer team posted a 1-0 win over Lewis University on Saturday in an exhibition match. Head coach Craig Blazer used the opportunity as a chance to see all of his players in a game situation after opening practice last week.
DePaul opens the regular season on Saturday in Evanston at the North Shore Classic. The club takes on Evansville at noon at Northwestern University’s Lakefront Field. On Sunday, the Blue Demons wrap up the tournament with a noon match against Vanderbilt.
The home opener at Wish Field is part of a doubleheader with the women’s team. The men’s team plays Drake at 1 p.m. on Sept. 5 followed by the women’s team at 4 p.m. against Toledo.
