CHICAGO - On Saturday, the DePaul men's soccer team will welcome No. 16 Georgetown to Wish Field for the Blue Demons' BIG EAST home opener at 3 p.m.

DePaul (3-4-1, 0-0-1) had its three-match unbeaten streak snapped on Wednesday as the Blue Demons lost 1-0 to Bradley.  In the match, DePaul fired off 19 shots but Bradley's goalkeeper Brandon Barnes made 11 saves to keep the Blue Demons scoreless.

Through eight matches, senior Philipp Konigstein continues to lead DePaul's offensive effort, tallying 12 points via five goals and two assists.  His five goals are the second-most in the BIG EAST.

Georgetown started 2017 with a five-match unbeaten streak, including wins against American, No. 19 Coastal Carolina, Cal Poly, and No. 15 UCLA and a draw against Connecticut, prior to suffering the Hoyas' lone loss of the season in their BIG EAST opener against Xavier, falling to the Musketeers 1-0 in overtime. For their effort, the Hoyas enter Saturday's match as the 16th-ranked team in NCAA Division I, outscoring their opponents 13-5.

Three of Georgetown's wins have been shutouts.  The Hoyas' goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski has made 15 saves on the 21 shots fired off by opponents in 2017, allowing just five scores while carrying a 0.68 goals against average.  Achara leads Georgetown in goals and points, tallying five scores for 10 points in five games.

DePaul defeated Georgetown in the two squads' last meeting on October 15, 2016, 1-0 as Erik Rodriguez netted the game-winner for the Blue Demons.  Since 2005, Georgetown leads the head-to-head series 6-1-1.

First touch from Wish Field is slated for 3 p.m.
