Van der Slot Receives BIG EAST Weekly Honors Recognition

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST released its men’s soccer weekly honors on Monday, naming DePaul forward Stijn van der Slot to its weekly honor roll.

In DePaul’s lone match of the week, van der Slot scored the game-winner against Villanova in the Blue Demons’ 1-0 victory.  DePaul, which is 4-5-1 in 2017, is now 1-1-1 in BIG EAST play.  The forward sits third in points (9) for the Blue Demons as he has scored on four occasions in 2017 while dishing out an assist.

Van der Slot, a native of Noordwijkerhout, Netherlands, has played in all 10 of the Blue Demons’ matches in 2017, firing off 21 shots where 10 have been on goal.
