Luke Rojo Recognized by Conference USA
CHICAGO - DePaul sophomore forward Luke Rojo was named to the third team All-Conference USA it was announced this afternoon by the league office. Rojo picked up C-USA All-Freshman honors a year ago.
Rojo led the club in scoring this season with 18 points on team-high’s of seven goals and four assists. He earned C-USA Player of the Week honors after leading the Blue Demons to wins over Loyola-Chicago and TCU. Over two seasons, the Downers Grove, Ill., native is tied for 19th in program history with 23 career points. Of his seven scores this season, five were game-winners, and he lead DePaul to six wins in their last 10 matches.
The Blue Demons finished the season with their best record since 1996 at 8-9-2 overall and 4-6-0 in C-USA play. Only nine times in 21 seasons has a men’s soccer team won at least eight games. The squad posted a program-best 6-1-0 record at home while winning the most C-USA matches in school history.
